Mind Matters - Mental Health and Wellness Program for Senior Women

Program Description

Loneliness and depression were highest among senior women, as a result of the

pandemic. These mental health effect are compounded by intersecting identities of senior women, and have created a mental health crisis.
Mind Matters participants will meet once a week and take part in sessions focused kit that will provide them with items to improve their mental health at home, and will compliment the skills and activities learned during the sessions. Activities will include mental health awareness, community resources, art therapy, walking group, social outings, brain games, mindfulness, meditation and modified exercises.
